    Today Odysseus Data Services is an active member of the Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (or OHDSI, pronounced "Odyssey") consortium (https://www.ohdsi.org/), whose main mission is to improve healthcare systems around the world by collecting and organizing data on the treatment of various diseases and then combining this data into a single, standardized, universally-accessible knowledge base to bring out the value of health data through large-scale analytics. 


    Due to our rapid growth, we now have a vacancy for a Data Analyst / Informatics Analyst ( Clinical Informatics Expert ) in the city of Berlin, Vilnius, Prague, and Newtown PA.

Responsibilities

  • Be a part of the larger ETL team and support ETL activities/data harmonizations by performing data analysis, creating ETL specifications, including data mappings, advanced data transformations, business rules
  • Interact with customers to understand and explain Patient health data, including EHR and Medical Claims, Patient Registries, clinical trials data, and other health data sets
  • Participate in the development of world standards for the presentation and exchange of medical data (OMOP CDM and OMOP Standardized Vocabularies)
  • Assist in the data harmonization and research activities for customers in the life sciences and healthcare
  • To be a part of the team focused on building the Real-World Evidence solution to provide leading-edge clinical and commercial insights to life sciences organizations with the goal of transforming treatment research and improving outcomes for patients

Required Skills

  • Min. Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Informatics/Health Information Management or related degree, Masters's Degree Preferred. A medical degree is a plus
  • Knowledge of English at C1 / C2 level (spoken and written)
  • Advanced knowledge of working with databases and SQL language (PostgreSQL, Oracle, AWS RedShift, GCP BigQuery, or similar)
  • Experience with ETL processes and large scale data processing
  • Experience with BI platforms (Qlik, Tableau, Spotfire) is a big plus
  • Programming experience with Python, Spark/Spark SQL, and Hadoop. Machine learning is a big plus
  • Experience working in life science and healthcare is a big plus
