    Today Odysseus Data Services is an active member of the Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (or OHDSI, pronounced "Odyssey") consortium (
https://www.ohdsi.org/), whose main mission is to improve healthcare systems around the world by collecting and organizing data on the treatment of various diseases and then combining this data into a single, standardized, universally-accessible knowledge base to bring out the value of health data through large-scale analytics.

     Due to our rapid growth, we now have a vacancy for a Sr. DevOps Engineer expert in the city of Berlin, Prague, Vilnius, and Cambridge MA

Responsibilities

Your role is to be truly at the heart of software development, and you'll be focusing on:

  • Support the development teams and clients with the following: Cloud, Datacenter Technologies, Automation, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), IaC, SysOps, and DevOps
  • Develop and maintain scalable architecture solutions using Cloud Providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Work closely with development teams to implement and automate systems and architectures (deployment)
  • Driving automation within an organization utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Work with external DevOps teams and coordinate ongoing activities
  • Along with your team, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth operation of production and development environments and for resolving issues, including implementing effective monitoring and incident response strategies.
  • The role will require the ability to speak/write and communicate with customers and partners. You should be a team player

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of RHE/CentOS, Debian, Windows Server, Network protocols, firewalls, iptables
  • Knowledge and confirmed experience with Amazon AWS at least 1 of the following cloud platforms: GCP, Azure
  • Infrastructure-as-code scripting experience
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or Team City
  • Experience using provisioning and configuration management tools such as Terraform
  • Experience building and operating Kubernetes clusters or other container orchestration platforms and working with microservices architectures
  • Experience with Git and scripting with Python, Bash, Groovy, AWS CloudFormation, AWS Lambda, etc.
  • Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, cloud databases like GCP BigQuery, AWS RedShift) 
  • Ability to create a secure and hardened platform
  • Experience with documenting security and vulnerability specifications and design
  • Experience with Configuration Management technologies preferably Ansible
  • Experience with monitoring solutions like CloudWatch, GrayLog, and the ELK stack
  • Experience with distribution systems preferably Nexus, Docker repositories
  • GCP/AWS/Azure certification is preferable
  • Fluency in English and great communication skills

Required Experience

  • DevOps: 3 years (required)
  • AWS or GCP or Azure: 2 years (required)
  • RHE/CentOS, Windows Server, Network Protocols, firewalls: 2 years (preferred)
